Purpose of award: To help military dependents attend college.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be dependents or direct descendants of an active, reserve, retired or honorably discharged member of the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, U.S.-Flag Merchant Marine, Marine Corps or U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps; be high school seniors or the equivalent and enter an accredited college or university. Students should submit a list of scholastic and extracurricular activities, transcripts, no more than two recommendations, SAT or ACT scores, FAFSA information, proof of qualifying sea service duty and personal statement. There are various scholarships available.
