Purpose of award: To award scholarships to children of veterans who served in the Armed Forces.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be the daughters or sons of veterans who served in the Armed Forces for membership in The American Legion, be high school seniors and complete 50 hours of community service. Selection is based on character, application/essay, scholastic achievement, leadership and financial need.
Target applicant:
Minimum GPA: None
Amount: $2,000-$2,500.
Number of awards: 2 per Division.
Deadline: March 10.
