Purpose of award: The National Federation of the Blind offers thirty scholarships to exceptional blind scholars.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be legally blind and pursue a full-time postsecondary study in the following semester in the U.S. One scholarship may be given to a part-time student. There are no additional restrictions for most of the scholarships. However, a few require study in certain fields and the Michael and Marie Marucci Scholarship requires competence in a foreign language. Awards are based on academic excellence, community service and financial need. Applicants must participate in the entire NFB national convention and in all scheduled scholarship program activities.
